Kohima Bench Eligibility:
Must be holder of a law degree granted by a recognized University established by law in India.
Must have a working knowledge with the ability to read and write one Naga tribe Dialect from amongst the recognized Naga tribes of Nagaland with practical knowledge of Naga Tribal Customary practices.
The applicant should be a citizen of India.
Guwahati High Court Exam Pattern:
- Preliminary Examination:
Objective type multiple choice questions.
Duration: 2 hours.
Total marks: 100.
Selection of 10 candidates per vacancy for the Final Written Examination.
Only candidates meeting the cut-off mark will proceed to the Final Written Examination.
- Final Written Examination:
Consists of 5 papers: Papers I, II, III, IV, and V.
Papers I, II, III, and IV carry 100 marks each.
Paper V carries 50 marks.
Candidates must pass Paper V to qualify for the overall examination.
Candidates must score 60% or more in aggregate in the Final Written Examination.
Minimum 35% marks required in Paper-V of the Final Written Examination.
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible with 50% or more marks in aggregate and a minimum of 35% marks in Paper-V for viva voce.
- Viva-Voce:
Marks: 70.
Interview process for eligible candidates based on their performance in the Final Written Examination.

Candidates who fulfill the requisite criteria can submit their online application forms, by following the steps indicated below, through the home page of the website www.ghconline.gov.in wherein a scroll under the caption “Click here to apply” will be available
- Phase 1:
Register with primary credentials: Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No., and Email ID.
Note down the Registration Code displayed after submission.
Use Registration Code and Date of Birth for logins in Phases 2, 3, and 4.
- Phase 2:
Provide profile details like gender, category, address, qualifications, and experience.
Update data as needed.
- Phase 3:
Upload Photograph and Signature Images in .jpg, .png, or .gif format.
Ensure images meet size and dimension requirements.
Submit candidature after filling in Phase 2 details and uploading images.
- Phase 4:
Print Fee Payment Challan.
Pay the fee at the State Bank of India within specified dates.
Keep Challan copy with the bank official’s signature and seal.
Print the Acknowledgement Receipt and Application Form after fee payment.
