Eligibility Criteria:
For Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel:
- Qualifications: LL.B degree.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of practice in criminal law.
- Skills: Excellent understanding of criminal law, oral and written communication, legal research, and ethical duties of defense counsel.
- Additional Requirements: Must have handled at least 20 criminal trials including appeals in Sessions Courts. Proficiency in computer applications is also required.
For Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel:
- Qualifications: LL.B degree.
- Experience: 0 to 3 years of practice in criminal law.
- Skills: Good communication skills, understanding of ethical duties, legal research, and IT proficiency.
