Educational Qualification:

For the Assistant Professor role at Tangla College, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications in line with UGC norms:

• Assamese, English, History: A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from a recognized university. A valid NET/SLET/SET qualification is preferred.
• Banking/Finance, Commerce: A Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, Commerce, or a related field with at least 55% marks. A NET/SLET/SET qualification is advantageous.
• Botany: A Master’s degree in Botany with a specialization in Genetics, with at least 55% marks. NET/SLET/SET qualification is preferred.
• Mathematics: A Master’s degree in Mathematics with at least 55% marks. NET/SLET/SET is preferred, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) is advantageous.
• Statistics: A Master’s degree in Statistics with at least 55% marks. NET/SLET/SET is preferred.
• Zoology: A Master’s degree in Zoology with at least 55% marks. NET/SLET/SET is preferred.

All candidates must also demonstrate proficiency in the local language and possess the required qualifications as stipulated for each post.

Selection Process

1. Screening: Applications will be initially screened based on the eligibility criteria and completeness.

2. Written Test: Eligible candidates may be required to undergo a written test, depending on the number of applicants.

3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. This stage assesses subject knowledge, teaching skills, and suitability for the position.
